Screen Industry Art started in 1987 in a small office doing color separations and design work for garment companies nationwide. Those companies included J.C. Penny's, Sears, Wal-Mart, College Concepts, Rawlings, American Rug, and Spalding. After the first year, customers started inquiring about us providing printed samples and production. Although a good idea at the time, it soon became a problem when the printers we were using were either late or had poor quality. Therefore, the logical solution was to start printing ourselves, so we could have control over quality and delivery.
Since that time, one hand press and dryer has turned into a 35,000 sq foot facility with nine automatic presses and over 30 employees, making Screen Industry Art the largest screen printing company in the south, producing over 10 million prints annually. Today most of the same customers that started out with us are still here, as well as many new ones.
Our present production capacity is 200 dozen an hour. The Austrian made MHM’s we have are as follows:
1 - 8 color standard SA
1 - 8 color jumbo SA
1 - 10 color standard SA
2 - 16 color syncroprint 3000
With the two 16 color machines with 3 flashes the possibilities of these machines are unlimited.
In our full service art department we offer design and color separations for textile printing.
Specialty inks included but are not limited to high density, waterbase, gel, foil, puff, metallic, glitters, and reflective. We also do simulated roller printing.
